Claire is a highly experienced HR professional and has gained a wealth of experience working within a variety of roles in the public, private and third sectors, including roles at the head office of the John Lewis Partnership.

As an HR Consultant, Claire has helped a number of organisations achieve enhanced business success through effective people management. In particular, Claire's work for a large UK-based mobile phone company resulted in the completion of leading-edge, published research examining the impact of technology on HR practice.

Claire combines her academic knowledge with her skills and experience as an HR practitioner in order to deliver the best possible HR solutions to organisations, enabling them to achieve their goals through their people.

Andy Wallwork MCMI MInstLM

With years of corporate learning and development experience, Andy has a huge amount to offer any organisation looking to develop their key leaders.


Andy has worked in Management for a number of large training organisations including further education colleges and multinational private providers.


As well as being a qualified and experienced trainer, Andy has also provided advice on many business improvement and change projects across a range of sectors. Andy is a qualified project manager and also holds a variety of Lean Six Sigma qualifications.


Andy’s expertise lies in behaviour, cultural, and leadership change. He’s worked on projects with organisations such as EDF, Rolls-Royce, Cancer Research, The Telegraph, Mulberry, and many more.

Leon is a versatile learning and development professional who has experience and knowledge of behavioural, cultural, and leadership development from working on organisaitonal change projects with market leaders such as EDF, Ministry of Defence, The Telegraph, Mulberry, DHL, Morrisons, The NHS, and Silent Night.


Leon specialises in developing leaders and has taught on degree level management programmes as well as bespoke training sessions. Leon skilfully combines leadership development and team development models to build engaging training programmes.


A specialist in embedding experiential learning by utilising a wide range of outdoor pursuits qualifications and experience from 7 years of running an outdoor activity centre.

Margaret Meyer

Margaret is the most recent member to join the Focus On Change team providing a wealth of experience and positivity.


Margaret has a strong history of client engagement and marketing across multiple sectors and continents. Originally from South Africa, Margaret has also worked in the US as well as the UK.


Margaret's expertise in nurturing relationships in order to deeply understand requirements will enable our clients to receive the best possible service.

Steve Joyce

Director and Business Analyst

 

With years of experience in business management and change, Steve has much to offer any organisation wishing to improve its performance, or needing to go through a change process.  


Originally trained as a scientist, Steve worked in a variety of manufacturing based roles prior to becoming Group IT Services Manager with responsibility for the provision of IT equipment and services for 4 manufacturing sites, and managing a multi-site IT team.


Steve later retrained as a Project Manager and a Business Analyst, and has since worked for a number of clients.


Steve’s expertise lies in framing the change required by an organisation and developing a plan to enable this to be achieved. He has worked for organisations such as Pittards plc, VOSA (Vehicle and Operators Service Agency – now known as the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), ONS (Office of National Statistics), Lloyds Banking Group  and the National Australia Bank.

Shelley Poole MSc, Assoc CIPD 

Associate HR and Management Trainer


After a decade in various management and HR management roles with organisations such as Barclays and the RNLI, Shelley has much experience to offer.


Shelley often lectures on business management programmes such as HNC's and Foundation Degrees, and is able to draw on her experience to make fun and engaging learning programmes.


Shelley specialises in delivering a range of HR, employment law, and people management courses which are designed to meet the exact requirements of our clients.
